UO Psychology Applications

Course aim

To provide students with the opportunity to develop an understanding of the relevance of psychology to a range of non-psychology careers. 

Course content

In this course students will be supported to develop awareness of the relevance and practical application of psychology to non-psychology careers. The course content will cover how, when and where psychological theory, principles and practices can be applied in a variety of potential graduate occupations, workplaces, and studies. This includes areas such as: health, education, human factors, human resources, marketing, community work, and case management, in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. Students, will be encouraged and supported to explore potential career pathways and to identify and market the transferable knowledge and skills they will acquire throughout their degree.
