Course aim
This course will assist students to develop their own professional identity in a business related field, provide them with an understanding of business and society; and help them to make choices that will enhance their university experience and their early career.
Course content
This course introduces students to the role of business in society and provides them with the knowledge and skills to manage their own professional development in the field. Topics include: professional and effective communication; negotiation and interpersonal relationships with a variety of stakeholders; presentation design and delivery; written communications; self-assessment and reflection on professional skills and attributes; choice of minors and formulating a career development plan and curriculum vitae.
