Course aim

To develop an advanced understanding of adapted physical activity and exercise for health and wellbeing.

Course content

This course will examine the importance of physical activity (PA) and exercise for all, including facilitators and barriers to engagement and the benefits of participation. Using global guidelines and principles, students will learn how to work with people with different abilities and needs. Understanding of the impact of disability on PA and exercise will be developed using case studies.
