Course aim

To provide students with the opportunity to develop an understanding of the relevance of psychology to a range of careers both within and beyond the profession of psychology.

Course content

In this course students will be supported to develop awareness of the relevance and practical application of psychology to careers both within and beyond the profession of psychology. The course content will cover how, when and where psychological theory, principles and practices can be applied in a variety of potential graduate occupations, workplaces, and studies. This includes areas such as: health, education, human factors, human resources, marketing, community work, and case management, in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. Students, will be encouraged and supported to explore potential career pathways and to identify and market the transferable knowledge and skills they will acquire throughout their degree.
