Course aim

Students will attain advanced skills in the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of psychological research.

Course content

Students will develop an advanced understanding of research design and evaluation (including questionnaire design, survey technique and sampling procedures), advanced skills in the selection, calculation and reporting of appropriate statistical tests (including multivariate data screening, advanced parametric inferential statistical tests, reliability, power and effect size) and the ethics of research (including issues related to culture and dependent populations). Students will apply this knowledge in the preparation of an APA style research report.
