Course aim
To introduce students to the methods and concepts of psychology with a focus on the biological basis of behaviour and research design.
Course content
In this course students will be introduced to Psychology as a science, the biological bases of Psychology (including structure and function of the human nervous system and cerebral cortex, states of consciousness, motivation, emotion and learning), research design and ethical research practices, academic literacies appropriate to the discipline of Psychology.
