Course aim
Critically appraise, and apply knowledge of, the roles of evidence, politics and advocacy for the effective development and implementation of preventive health activities.
Course content
The political system in Australia and political theory; Advocacy theory and practice; Implementation and constituency building; Preventive health and health promotion program planning and design; stakeholder analysis; dimensions of preventive health activities, such as behaviour, biology, socioeconomic and environmental factors and their interactions.
