UO Professional Practice in Public Health

Course aim

To enable students to effectively transition to the workforce with the skills and knowledge required to work as a public health practitioner in roles which seek to prevent ill health and promote health and wellbeing.

Course content

Critical self-assessment and reflection on professional strengths and personal skills; core principles of public health practice; cultural safety within health and wellbeing contexts; integration of core program body of knowledge.
