Course aim

To examine the fundamentals of disease prevention and control through the exploration of responses to diseases in the public health context.

Course content

Concepts related to the development and spread of disease; examination and appraisal of strategies developed to prevent and control disease; exploration of responses to priority population health conditions and risk factors at the local, national, and international levels; consideration of legislative and regulatory frameworks in disease prevention and control; Ethical, social and legal issues in disease prevention and control.
