Course aim
The aim of this course is to give students insights into the underlying principles and concepts of entrepreneurship, and its practical role in creating enterprises, whether in the for-profit sector or in the field of social entrepreneurship.
Course content
Ideas and opportunities for entrepreneurship and innovation; generating and screening new venture ideas in social and commercial contexts; product or service positioning and targeting; target market selection and evaluation; assessing entrepreneurial risk; the entrepreneurial process; organising the range of resources needed to create a new venture; ethical considerations; developing a practical feasibility study for a new venture idea.
