Course aim

To introduce statistical theory and concepts needed for data analytics, and to become proficient at using the R language for statistical analysis of data.

Course content

An introduction to descriptive statistics; Data Description and graphical representation.

Data Description: Measures of central tendency and variability.

Probability; Sampling distributions.

Confidence Intervals.

Hypothesis Testing.

Correlation and Regression.

Comparing two independent groups.

Comparing more than two independent groups.

Comparing dependent groups.

Multiple comparisons.

Categorical data.
