Course aim

The aim of this course is to develop students' understanding of the relationship between society, business, government, and the not-for-profit sector. It also aims to enable students to identify a range of professional capabilities necessary for participation in a sustainable society.

Course content

Business and society provides an introduction to the relationship between society, business, government, and the not-for-profit sector. It considers the historical and cultural influences on that relationship and the responsibilities of professionals as managers, practitioners, employees and customers. It provides the foundation for future study in the Business courses.
