Course aim

To further develop students’ ability to write for radio news and longer format broadcast stories.

Course content

Students will build on existing knowledge of broadcast writing and producing. Students will develop skills to edit news material using available software, compile new reports, apply industry standards to news writing, voice reporting, news production and news reading as well as knowledge of sourcing and interviewing techniques. They will identify and analyse key ethical and legal obligations associated with broadcast reporting both audio and video.
