Course aim
Students will examine young people’s transitions to adulthood in the context of culture, socio economic status, family, education and employment and the policy contexts within which these transitions occur.
Course content
This course will introduce students to a range of social issues impacting upon young people’s transitions through school-work milieus. A specific focus will be on marginalised young people and the influence of social contextual factors such as family, peers, and socio-demographic factors on life circumstances and chances.
