Course aim
To develop students' understanding of key psychological concepts relevant to health care practice.
Course content
Students will be introduced to basic concepts of psychology (including the biological bases of behaviour, learning theory, lifespan development, personality psychology, and health and wellbeing) with an emphasis on relevance in a health care setting. They will also be introduced to the psychological impact of illness and trauma, and social and interpersonal relationships.
