To introduce students to the principles of public communication by examining the concepts, theories and contexts of professional practice
Course content
This course covers a diverse range of organisational and public communication theory and practice to provide a foundation for the higher level courses in the professional major. This course introduces fundamental theoretical principles and practices underpinning various forms of organisational and public communication. It provides an understanding of the political, economic, social and technological context of organisations' communication approaches, particularly media relations, public relations and advertising.
