Alongside our high-quality teaching and learning, we also provide a range of support services to ensure you can get the most out of your studies.

Whether you need help with assignments, referencing, administrative or technical support, you'll have access to a team who'll be there to support you every step of the way. We're committed to ensuring you have a positive online learning experience, giving you the strongest foundation from which to achieve your career goals.

Dedicated Student Adviser

Every UniSA Online student is assigned a dedicated Student Adviser. They’re your first point of contact for any assistance you may need.

Online academic support

Our academic team is available over extended hours, including weekends, so you can get help when you need it.

IT and tech support

UniSA’s IT help desk is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They’ll be there whenever you need a hand.

    Student Advisers

    You'll have access to the Student Adviser support team who are dedicated to supporting you throughout your studies. It’s what makes the UniSA Online study experience unique from other online providers. You can be confident that by studying with UniSA Online, you’ll be engaging with people who genuinely care about your success.

    Our Student Advisers will be an important part of your student journey –  they’ll help you enrol, discuss your study goals, communication preferences and will be your first point of call for all your study questions. They’ll give you advice on appropriate support services and resources available to you and will help schedule appointments with specialised services if required.

    Just because you're studying online, doesn’t mean you miss out on face-to-face interaction – our staff use video calls and online tools to communicate with students. Student Advisers will also offer live online webinars for enrolment, orientation and tips for online study.

    Our Student Advisers are available seven days a week over extended hours to answer all your questions.

    Online tutor support seven days a week

    UniSA Online academics are available to answer your questions seven days a week – even on week nights. Our online academics will provide highly personalised support tailored to your needs. They’ll provide guidance on your assignments, as well as provide advice on writing and referencing. If you’ve got a question related to your course, you can expect to receive a response in 24 hours.

    You’ll also be able to directly contact tutors after hours offered via Studiosity, an online communication platform, if UniSA Online tutors aren’t available. They’ll provide you with individualised study support and academic advice, including feedback on your drafts, referencing and numeracy support.

    Online study support and resources

    Chat with a Learning Adviser

    Learning Advisers can provide study and assignment assistance to help you achieve your academic and professional goals. They'll help you with things like understanding your assessment tasks, provide advice on writing essays and reports and will help you develop academic reading and writing skills.

    As a UniSA Online student you'll be able to book an appointment at a time that suits you. 


    Ask the Library

    Can’t find a particular eBook, journal article or online resource? Ask the Library is a virtual service that assists students to locate, access, evaluate, use and reference a range of information resources. UniSA Online students, like all UniSA students, will be able to access the Ask the Library service via a range of channels, including proactive chat, email and phone.

    Discover the broad range of guides and videos designed to help you with your assignments.

    Free access to LinkedIn Learning

    All UniSA students have access to more than 5,000 video courses on LinkedIn Learning. Videos cover topics such as the Microsoft Office suite, time management and study skills, health and wellbeing, communication and presentation skills, photography, film making, and designing your own games or mobile apps.

    Student services

    Access and Inclusion - (disability support)

    UniSA’s online suite of programs are specifically designed to maximise inclusion and accessibility so that most people will not require any additional adjustments. However, if you have a disability, mental health or chronic medical condition that impacts on your studies, you may be eligible for additional assistance through our Access and Inclusion team. The Access and Inclusion team provide free advice and guidance about academic adjustments available to UniSA students and, if you are eligible, can provide you with an Access Plan to assist you in negotiating your needs with academic staff. You can speak to one of our friendly Access and Inclusion Advisors via phone by booking an appointment online booking an appointment online or contacting your UniSA Online Student Adviser for assistance. Any information you provide to us will remain completely confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone without your consent.

    Counselling and wellbeing services

    You’ll have access to a team of Counsellors, who offer free and confidential counselling to help you manage any personal, health and wellbeing issues that could affect your studies. Our counsellors are highly qualified, have extensive experience working with university students, and have been specifically trained to support students learning online. They’ll also be able to refer you to local specialised or additional support in your state.

    Wirringka Student Services

    Wirringka Student Services offers a suite of online resources for Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander students studying with UniSA Online. Aboriginal students will have access to a dedicated tutor through the Aboriginal Tutorial Program, via phone and Skype, which is available over extended hours. Our online academics provide help with all areas of study including course content, time management, academic writing, essay planning and referencing skills.

    Campus Central

    Campus Central can help with all your student administration and support service enquiries. If you have a question about any aspect of student life, including scholarships, exams, ID cards, internal transfers, transcripts, graduations and more, ask Campus Central. You can contact Campus Central through proactive chat, online enquiry and phone.

    If you live near one of our six campuses, the friendly Campus Central staff are also available to help you face-to-face.
