Course aim
The aim of this course is to give students insights into the underlying principles and concepts of entrepreneurship, and its practical role in creating enterprises, whether in the for-profit sector, or in the field of social entrepreneurship.
Course content
The nature and importance of entrepreneurship and innovation; understanding the characteristics of entrepreneurs; assessing entrepreneurial risk; generating and screening new venture ideas; the entrepreneurial process; organising the range of resources needed to create a new venture; ethical considerations; developing a practical feasibility plan to launch a new venture.
