Since 1991, our students have been able to earn a UniSA degree without having to travel to a physical campus.

UniSA has a long tradition of off-campus learning, establishing a Distance Education Centre more than 25 years ago, which grew to serve more than 4000 students. In fact, our Distance Education Centre was designated as one of eight national Distance Education Centres in Australia.

Seen as a leader in the field, UniSA played a leading role in establishing Open Universities Australia – and our commitment to develop our teaching staff to be leaders in the digital learning experience continues to this day.

Transforming online learning

Building on our digital learning success

The Digital Learning Strategy builds on UniSA’s long tradition of delivering degrees online and via distance. This flexibility to study on-campus and online is something our students value immensely. Through our Strategy, we will deliver an engaging curriculum, support our students to be productive professionals in a digital age, expand our flexible learning arrangements, develop our academics to be leaders in the digital learning experience, and inspire the entire UniSA community through lifelong learning.
