Course aim
To extend and consolidate students’ knowledge of the essential skills listed by the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd), the peak Australian body responsible for national accreditation of editors.
Course content
Guided by the criteria set out in IPEd’s Australian standards for editing practice, students will use authentic texts to explore more complex editing issues in a range of genres, and will be equipped with the necessary tools to ensure that material for publication is consistent and correct and that content, language, style and layout are appropriate for their purpose.
